Championes of London: Brixton Club Lambeth Tigers wins 5 London Cups

The last two weekends saw Brixton based Lambeth Tigers win five London FA Youth Cup titles for their age groups U12 through to U16. This is the first time any youth football club has won all Saturday London Cups in the same season.

All the age groups faced tough opposition from clubs across the Capital over the last few months to qualify for their respective finals. The finals took place on Saturday 24th and Saturday 17th at Long Lane Football Club in South east London.

Lambeth Tigers U16s faced CLA Youth : CLA scored in the opening minutes due to a mistake but the team produced a devastating attack display creating & scoring fantastic goals and winning 3- 2 Our U15s faced local rivals AFC NASSA: NASSA took the lead with a very good free kick. Tigers came roaring back with free flowing attacking football scoring 5 unanswered and winning 5-1 Our U14s won on penalties 6-5 beating Most Wanted FC. This squad came back twice from behind to make it 2-2 after a very tough and emotional day for the boys who lost a key player with a broken tibia just at the beginning of the second half.

Our U13s beat Eastside and our U12s beat Broomwood Dynamos 3-1 on penalties, after playing out an entertaining 1-1 draw in awful weather of freezing temperatures and driving snow.
